As part of the extraORDINARYwomen engagement programme the Linen Hall Library invites you to take part in Changing the Story, a series of four online creative writing workshops, inspired by the outstanding female writers in the Linen Hall Library’s collections. These practical workshops will be led by acclaimed author Jan Carson, winner of the 2019 EU Prize for Literature, and author of The Fire Starters. 

extraORDINARYwomen is a groundbreaking collections-based community driven heritage project of engagement, creativity and skills development. As part of this we are giving participants the opportunity to have special access to items within our Literary collections and to create work in response with the support of leading local artists. 

Leading local author Jan Carson will guide you to create your own unique writing in response to literary talents who have shaped the Northern Irish writing scene such as Christina Reid, Joan Lingard and Polly Devlin.

The workshops are online using the ZOOM platform.
